Terms of Service

Coaching should not be taken as medical advice. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any health problem, nor is it intended to replace the advice of a physician.  The decision to follow these recommendations is at your own discretion. If you have medical concerns please consult your family doctor.

Coaching

ONBOARDING

  • 3-month minimum commitment for all subscription coaching services
    • Subscription pauses are at the coaches discretion and for extenuating and unforeseen circumstances only (e.g. loss in family, job loss, significant injury requiring surgical intervention, etc.)
  • Initial plan will be sent to you within 72 hours after completion of appropriate onboarding documentation and confirmation of payment.

    SUBSCRIPTION, CANCELLATION AND PAYMENTS

    • 3 month minimum commitment for all subscription based coaching services
    • Coaching is billed on a 28 day cycle based on your initial order date.
    • You must communicate with your coach to arrange cancellation.
      • Clients are not permitted to cancel their own coaching subscriptions.
      • 30 days notice must be provided via email
      • No refunds to be provided under any circumstance if the above conditions are not met.
    • Once a payment is processed there are no refunds.
    • It is your responsibility to notify your coach regarding cancellation if you wish to discontinue service. Payments will continue unless your coach is notified.
    • If service pricing is subject to change, you will be given at least 30 days notice. 
    • For existing clients: pricing is generally updated on a roughly annual basis at the turn of each new year
    • If a payment does not go through, your coach will make contact within 24 hours, and a resolution must be achieved within 72 hours to the best of our abilities. 
    • LATE check-ins are not guaranteed a 24hr response time.
    • Consultations: 24 hour notice required to cancel. Failure to provide notice or non-attendance is non-refundable

    GAME DAY / COMPETITION COACHING

    • Comprehensive Coaching is the minimum requirement for all competitors and aspiring competitors (strength and physique)
    • Comprehensive Coaching includes detailed peak weak and competition day plans
    • Clients local to the GTA benefit from opportunities for in-person competition day coaching - Mike loves to support his athletes on Game Day!
      • Competition day coaching is an additional cost, based upon travel expenses, location and time
      • Compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis
    • If you would like your coach to travel to your competition, all travel expenses are to be the responsibility of the athlete.
      • This includes transportation and accommodations
      • An additional fee will be decided between you and your coach to compensate for meals and time.
      • All competitive athletes are entitled to a 30-minute debrief call after the competition to discuss the outcome with their coach and identify an action plan for the next phase of training.

      PRIVACY

      • All information shared with your coach is considered confidential and our best efforts will be made to prevent data breach or loss.
      • Your name, image, written feedback, voice, and/or appearance may be used in promotional materials. Your full identity (including full name and face) will not be exposed without your permission.

      VACATION / HOLIDAYS

      • Your coach is permitted 1 week of vacation per two quarters (2 weeks of vacation per year).
        • During this time, only emails labeled ‘URGENT’ will be responded to within 24 hours, please allow extended time for non urgent communication. No video calls will be available during this time.
        • Training plans will be sent in advance. Video reviews will not be completed at this time, unless during competition prep.
        • Nutrition check-ins will be completed in an abbreviated fashion.
      • 1 weeks per year, your coach is entitled to full vacation where communication is not available. At your coaches discretion exceptions can be made for those in competition prep.
      • Major holidays including Easter, Canadian Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve/Day, Canada Day, and Labour Day all communication will be deferred to the next business day.

      THE COACHING PROCESSES

      • Training and/or nutrition programs to be sent on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis based on the service selected.
        • Program iterations will be accompanied by Coach's Notes and/or LOOM video to explain the changes made.
        • Incomplete training logs at the time of program delivery will result in updates made as if training was completed at 100% compliance
        • If training logs cannot be completed on time, please notify your coach in advance.  
        • Late submissions cannot be guaranteed 24hrs turnaround time.
      • Please communicate all relevant information with your coach.  They are here to help you navigate your training process and without all of the information available, they will not be able to support you to the best of their abilities.
        • You are never a bother, so don't hold back your feedback, questions, or concerns.

      Coach / Athlete trust, buy in, two way communication and good faith collaboration is critical to an athlete's success. Please bring any and all concerns to me, and we will come to an amicable resolution.
